In the week from 27 September to 1 October, the first exchange of the Erasmus project "Let's Camole" was to take place in Heraklion. However, already a few weeks before the event, it became clear that the Covid measures did not allow groups of pupils to travel. So the "real" exchange had to become a "virtual" exchange.

The upcoming meeting was eagerly awaited by the pupils of the different countries. Thematic preparations for the exchange were made in different working groups. For example, the young people collected suggestions and ideas on how to optimise timetables on a common internet pinboard and designed "timetables according to pupils' wishes". The students exchanged ideas about the topics of the project and got to know each other better. For the later online meetings, students prepared presentations about unconventional learning spaces. They took photos of learning spaces on the  school campuses and thought about how these places could be used as optimal teaching spaces.

The virtual exchange in Greece

Between three and five young people from each country took part in the two-day online meetings. Finally, the students got to know each other personally and were able to see each other. The participants played educational games with each other, learned a lot of interesting facts about Greek culture and history and got to know all the sights and places of Crete via media. The young people presented their presentations to an international audience and exchanged ideas about learning and everyday school life in the different countries. The teacher groups also presented short teaching sequences on Greek history and culture to the students. The students were able to learn a lot and it became clear how lessons can be designed in a motivating way. All in all, there was a lively exchange between the students during the two days with much joy and fun.
